Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character from ABC's Lost series, and Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. After her parents divorced, she moved with her mom in Los Angeles. The year 2001 was a difficult one for her, but despite difficulties with money it was possible to secure her first big performance in the video online series Rachel's Room as the principal character. Her portrayal of Martha Moxley, a 15-year-old victim of murder, in the television film Murder in Greenwich in 2002, earned her a nomination for a Young Artist Award. Grace Rutherford was the character Shannon Rutherford for Lost's first two seasons of 2004 as well as sharing the Screen Actors Guild Award (with all the other actors) along with her. Grace was dropped from the series in 2005 to focus on the role of a greater part in film, appearing opposite Tom Welling as Kim Mills in Taken. She was on the screen in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club in 2007 and Taken (2008) opposite Liam Neeson. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) were her reprises of the roles. Grace returned to the Lost series for the last two episodes as Shannon. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season which ran between 2013 and the year 2014. The actress portrays Faith as a groupie, and is also a model the stars. Hank Moody is played by David Duchovny. She is part of Gyllenhaal's family, and is the older sister of Jake Gyllenhaal. She began her career as a teenager with small parts in a few of his films. She also appeared with her brother in the famous cult classic Donnie Darko (2001). Later, she was as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind as well as Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win an Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) and the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). Both movies were critically acclaimed. She appeared in numerous films that were commercially successful, including World Trade Center. However it was her performance as Rachel Dawes that brought her wider attention in The Dark Knight (2008). Nominated to win an Academy Award as Best Supporting Actress for her role on the film Crazy Heart, (2009). Then she appeared in dramas and comedies which included Nanny McPhee's Big Bang (2010) Hysteria 2011, and Won't Back Down 2012 Her other roles include the role of a Secret Service agent in the action-thriller White House Down (2013) a musician in Frank (2014) as well as The title role in the drama The Kindergarten Teacher (2018). In 2021, Gyllenhaal was able to make her writing and directed debut in the psychological drama The Lost Daughter for which she was awarded The Lost Daughter the Venice International Film Festival's Best Screenplay Award and was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay.
