John Denver is a popular musician and singer who has been able to touch many through his music. Many of these were inspired by Colorado. Henry John Deutschendorf Jr., born Henry John Deutschendorf from Roswell near New Mexico fell in Love with Colorado. He moved to Aspen. Denver's songs for his home state has drawn a lot of people to Colorado. G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame said that John Denver was by far one of the top musicians who was a symbol of Colorado. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first ever inductee. He is the face of Colorado to many across the globe. People you meet in other countries, like New Zealanders. They tell them "I come originally from Colorado" then they immediately react with Oh John Denver. Brown stated. Take Me Home Country Roads was one of Denver's top 10 singles following a performance with a smaller folk groups. It was co-written by and performed by Bill Danoff. Danoff initially wrote the song with Johnny Cash's music in mind, but Denver knew from the first time he heard the earlier versions that it would be a big hit. The song was first recorded several weeks after the Washington D.C. performance.
